Through our work to create and facilitate meeting places, we focus on measures that help us achieve our goals in the area of sustainability.
Through our strategy, we have identified five specific sustainability goals that are most relevant to us based on our business, and where we believe that our efforts can most contribute to making a positive difference. In addition, we have set ourselves the specific goals to:
- Reduce the CO2 footprint by at least 20 percent per visitor
- Double the number of jobs created by our business
- Double economic value creation through own activities and the positive ripple effects this generates in the surrounding area.
We are the Eco-Lighthouse
NOVA Spektrum has been certified Eco-Lighthouse since 2012, with ongoing recertification the following years. Eco-Lighthouse is Norway’s most widely used certificate for companies that want to document their environmental efforts and demonstrate social responsibility. As a certified company, both as a building owner and through green events, we meet requirements that measures are implemented continuously for a more environmentally friendly operation and a good working environment. The scheme gives us the tools to work specifically with sustainability, including in areas such as the working environment, waste management, transport, energy use and purchasing.
